Circa 1870s CDV (carte-de-visite); Scarce early portrait of circus clown in costume with heavy face paint, awkwardly posed seated in a child's high chair.  Photograph is by Courret Hermanos of Lima, Peru.  Condition: misc. old pencil writing on the reverse.  tack holes on mount.  surface soiling and staining, tining, scuffs and edge wear.  Please see photos for additional condition review.
