    Description

    Large Prehistoric Bison Horn Core Partial Skull, late pleistocene, early holocene. Approximately 16 inches overall length with the horn core at an angled disposition.
    This piece could be from a bison skull with a 32 inch tip to tip horn core spread. Likely not from the extant bison bison. Likely a transitional bison, meaning it was more closely related in time and genetics to bison antiquus than the modern day American bison.
    This piece has been stabilized with paraloid b-72. See photos for full condition.
