Mauser Sterling Silver Top 3.5" Vanity Powder Jar  C 1890 "Mattie" XL Condition!

Description

This is an extremely good condition sterling silver topped dresser / powder / vanity jar from the late 1800's.  The provenance is it belonged to Mattie Rhodes from one of the first wealthy Dallas Texas families.  The silver top is marked "Sterling, 925/1000, [Mauser Silver Co. hallmark], 1002".  The monogram on the floral top is "Mattie".
Dimensions:  3.5" Diameter x 3" tall.  The silver lid's fitter is 3" Diameter.
Condition:  It is just so rare to find a sterling silver lid without any side bash damage at all.  There are a few flea bites on one side of the crystal jar.  You REALLY have to be looking for it to notice -- which of course I'm always going to list anything and everything which detracts from a 100% perfect rating.  Also some scuffing on base.  The crystal wear is pretty light compared to the 100's of jars I've sold over the years.
